SHOWDOWN

Can colour be a figure? My paintings for SHOWDOWN explored this idea, using pure bands and strips of colour in the stadium to cultivate a feeling of tension, of competition, or of victory. What are the properties of the chroma itself? What is built into the colour that can cultivate these emotions?
